100,000 Intasite launches for PD ports across three locations

As one of the UK’s largest port groups, the company became Intasite’s first customer to trial its innovative rollout program in June 2016, resulting in the implementation of the system across PD Ports’ three northern sites: Teesport Unitised, Teesport Bulks and Hartlepool.

Intasite created customized, site-specific introductory videos tailored to the needs of carriers, visitors and contractors, ensuring each user receives only the information they need. The program also includes vivid 2D and 3D animations depicting access routes, one-way streets and speed limits to ensure better understanding and engagement.

The Stockton-based company’s software is integrated into PD Ports’ Autogate and enables real-time transmission of data to complete induction. The system also adapts to truck drivers’ preferred language settings. Additionally, when a driver renews their onboarding, their access card is automatically synced, streamlining the process for visitors and passing staff. This automated approach improves health and safety measures by immediately denying entry to anyone without valid training.

The collaboration has also had a positive impact on the environment: Intasite is planting approximately 400 trees as part of an initiative that plants one tree for every 100 customer referrals.

The milestone follows Intasite’s confirmation of new major accounts across multiple sectors, including AB InBev, which brews Budweiser, and CityFibre. In addition, Intasite has expanded its presence in the renewable energy sector through collaborations with Equinor’s Dogger Bank wind farm, SSE Renewables, EDF Renewables, Hitachi Energy and SeAH Wind.
