11-year-old boy with autism donated $15,000 piano from stranger

In a world full of negative and sad news, the feel-good stories hit in a different way and have a much better impact.

Meet 11-year-old Jew Kofie from Aurora, Colorado. He is special and recently received the gift of his life from a total stranger.

You see, Jude is a special boy because he seems to play the piano like a child prodigy… except he’s never taken piano lessons in his life.

One day Jude found his father’s keyboards on the first floor. He started playing tunes and songs while his father was upstairs. Jude’s father, Isaiah, says he grabbed his phone and started recording Jude’s pieces he’s been playing for years and posted them to YouTube.

He’s also autistic, but that doesn’t stop him in any way.

As with everything on the Internet, word and video spread quickly. A local piano tuner named Bill Magnussen watched and read about Jude and his wondrous talent when it came to playing the piano.

Bill knew he had to do something as Jude’s parents were immigrants from Ghana and were still sending money back to their home country while looking after their own 4 children.

This gift would be a gift of a lifetime for the Kofie family… and especially for Jude.

Bill gifted Jude a $15,000 piano so he could keep practicing and “not waste his gift.”

Bill had never met Jude or his family before, but he felt compelled to nurture that gift and talent like no other. The piano was purchased with Bill’s inheritance money, and while the piano was purchased for $15,000, it is valued at approximately $45,000.

The sheer innocence and generosity of both parties involved is overwhelming. There are still good and heartwarming moments in this world. They appear in all kinds of stories and in all kinds of people.

Keep playing Jew. The world needs your talent and your good heart.

Ben, thank you for passing on your kindness even though it wasn’t asked of you.
