13-Year-Old Boy Takes Shark Bite To The Face While Lobster Fishing In Florida

Talk about a horrific scene from Florida.

Corresponding FOX 35 Orlando, A 13-year-old boy was fishing for lobsters with his family when a shark jumped out of the water and bit him in the face.

The boy is fisherman Hricko, who was just trying to enjoy lobster fishing with his family since he and his family traditionally go to the Florida Keys during lobster season.

Luckily, Hricko survived the scary attack and survived to tell the story with only a few minor injuries:

“I saw a big one and picked it up. On the way up, having the lobster in hand, I felt a light tap on the back of my leg and I looked behind me and the shark was in my face.

It was scary like I was trying to get away but it was so quick.”

Hricko quickly snatched the shark out of his face and swam back to the boat as fast as he could.

His mother, Rhiannon Hricko, also weighed in on the spooky scene:

“He just showed up and yelled, ‘Mom, mom, shark! Get me out of here! Get me out of the water!

It was honestly the scariest five minutes of my life. Just hearing that terror in your child’s voice is something I can’t get out of my head.”

Fischer’s family then brought him back to shore and took him to an emergency room, where he needed 10 stitches on his upper lip.

You’d think the incident would make Fischer never set foot in the sea again (I know it probably would for me), but he says otherwise:

“I’m ready, but I have a feeling I’ll be a little scared the first few times, but I’ll get in the water.”
