2 teenagers arrested in armed carjacking, 2 others wanted

Two teens are facing numerous charges and police are searching for two more teens after a violent carjacking occurred Monday night.

Toronto police responded to a call for a carjacking in the Albion Rd.-Martin Grove Rd. area around 8:45 p.m.

Police said the victim and a passenger in a 2023 Hyundai Elantra were driving in a residential area when four men in a dark sedan drove up close behind them. When the victim stopped to let him pass, the suspect vehicle struck the victim’s vehicle from behind, according to police.
According to police, when the victim got out of his vehicle to check for damage, four men – one of them allegedly with a gun – approached the driver and demanded the keys to the vehicle.
A fight ensued and the men fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle while the other vehicle followed.
The victim suffered minor injuries, the passenger was uninjured.

Members of the Provincial Carjacking Joint Task Force and the 23rd and 31st Division Major Crime Units responded and located the four men. Two were arrested and the other two escaped.
Police claimed that at the time of the arrest, a suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and the keys to a stolen vehicle.

Two male suspects remain unidentified. They are described as black males in their early teens, between 5’10” and 5’7″ tall, wearing dark clothing.
