7 of the best pubs for a drink after the Great North Run 2023
The world’s greatest half marathon returns tomorrow (September 10) with none other than Olympic gold medalist Sir Mo Farah completing his final professional race.
Among the general public, celebrities including Strictly Come Dancing and Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies will be running for the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust charity.

Emmerdale actresses Laura Norton (Kerry Wyatt) and Isabel Hodgins (Victoria Sugden) will also appear in CureUSHER.
Aside from trying to catch a glimpse of the famous faces of the participants, all you want to do after the race is have a drink and eat something.
And you’re lucky for that. We’ve scouted seven pubs in South Shields to visit after completing the Great North Run.

While we can’t guarantee how good the pubs will be on the day with 60,000 in attendance, we can highly recommend the pubs near the finish line.
