97-Year-Old Woman Walks Into Stranger’s Barn And Gets Her Life’s Wish Granted – Women After 40

Some of Janet Fauks’ fondest memories in life were riding Morgan horses.

This horse breed is one of the earliest horse breeds developed in the United States.

The 97-year-old woman from Oklahoma City knew she would not have many years left on this earth.

But she was determined to ride at least one more time and put that goal at the top of her wish list.

Her family fully supported Janet’s wish and accompanied her to Cottonwood Creek Ranch in hopes of fulfilling her dream.

Although the weather has been bad lately and Janet has been bedridden with an unknown illness for the past few weeks, she was determined to fulfill that very important wish of riding a Morgan horse again.

The Cottonwood staff took Janet to the stables and introduced her to a horse named Stretch.

Both horse and rider bonded immediately and Janet was able to spend the afternoon back in the saddle, to the delight of her children, grandchildren and many friends, while photographers captured many special moments.

Local TV station KOCO reported that Stretch was a perfect match for the 90-year-old, taking very gentle and gentle strides while Janet guided the horse to walk, jog and even occasionally go into a leisurely canter known as loping.

Jaclyn Jacobs of Cottonwood Creek Ranch applauded the family and friends who made one of Janet’s last wishes come true and said the equine world knows no strangers.
