9th grade student physically beats teacher

The tragic downfall of America’s public schools was succinctly captured by a viral video of a recalcitrant high school student beating up her teacher while her classmates laugh happily and cheer on the senseless violence.
The attack, which was carried out by a ninth grader, reportedly happened last week at Heritage High School in Conyers, Georgia Rockdale citizens.
The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office and the Rockdale County Public School District are investigating the shocking caning that was released on social media.
“The Rockdale County public schools are investigating an incident in which a student allegedly assaulted a teacher during class today,” the school district said in a statement. “RCPS will not tolerate student violence against staff.
“Students who cause harm to other students or staff will be penalized in accordance with our Code of Conduct for Student Discipline and appropriately charged by law enforcement.”

Twitter account Fight Haven shared two videos of the incident on Twitter on Saturday. the first clip had 8.6 million views as of Tuesday afternoon, while the second had 1 million
The video began with the student yelling and swearing at her teacher in a classroom, so what led to the confrontation is unknown.
“I don’t give a shit if you’re grown up or not! Don’t talk to me like that, you idiot!” the student yelled.
She then pushed and punched the teacher, who raised her hands to protect herself.
WARNING: The following video contains graphic violence that some viewers may find disturbing.
As the teacher walked away from the confrontation, the student followed her and yelled, “B****, don’t talk to me like that! Don’t talk to me like that!”
As soon as the teacher entered the hallway, the student aggressively closed the door behind her.
The teacher then stepped back in the door and the shoving escalated to beatings.
At one point, the student pulled the teacher’s hair and the two were dragged to the hallway together.
Moments later, the teacher said, “My leg is broken,” as she lay on the hallway floor.
After WSB TV In Atlanta, the teacher’s leg was broken in the incident and she is recovering.
Meanwhile, the student has been placed in a juvenile facility and is facing criminal charges, the outlet reported.
Have American Schools Failed?
Perhaps the most frightening thing about this incident is the casualness of the observers.
None of the students intervened to stop their classmate from attacking their teacher. Instead, the first impulse for some of them was to whip out their phones to film the brawl.
Unfortunately, these hand-to-hand fights have become common in American public schools, where student test scores have plummeted in recent years.
Not so long ago a student could be sent to jail or suspended from school simply by disagreeing with a teacher.
In contrast, today’s young people are ‘brought up’ in unstable classrooms where there are no standards, structures or boundaries.
So is it any wonder that going to school in some counties is like trying to survive a dystopian contest where you’re lucky enough to be alive at the end of each day?
As the saying goes, “What you tolerate will endure.”
