Just last month, Oshawa launched an e-scooter program in the city. Neuron Mobility was selected to provide 250 of its scooters for the city. The program uses built-in helmets, voice guidance, geofencing controls, fall detection, a 911 emergency button and Follow My Ride technology.

It was not immediately clear if the scooter used in that incident was part of the program.
