A fisherman pulls a giant sturgeon out of a small stream and upgrades a GoPro to capture amazing underwater footage

Man I love sturgeon.

However, how can the fisherman not be fascinated by them? They grow huge, put up a great fight and look like no other.

Sturgeon are the most commonly seen, especially large ones caught in vast bodies of water like the Fraser River in BC, Canada. This is a unique video showing a guy fishing for a sturgeon like I’ve never seen before.

He’s using the old spot and cast method, but he’s on a mission to find a monster in this Idaho creek. He spots one immediately, but continues down the small channel to find a larger one that does not succumb to his temptations.

His patience pays off as he hovers over three monster sturgeons and decides to line up and fish. He hooks a giant jumping out of the water. You would never guess that there are such big fish in this small watercourse.

The man fights the fish everywhere, eventually bringing it to shore and onto the weeds. He estimates it to be 7.5 feet long. An absolute giant.

He realizes it and goes back to find some more fish. This time he lines up his GoPro perfectly on his line and gets some pretty incredible shots of a sturgeon taking its bait underwater.

Well, if you’re willing to risk losing a GoPro, this is a fish worth doing for. It is a sight to behold to watch the great ancient prehistoric animal appear.

He lands another sturgeon for what I would call a pretty amazing day of fishing.

Came with some pretty good shots too.
