A woman has been taken to hospital after the A1M crash in Aycliffe
Durham Police have confirmed that a 27-year-old woman has been taken to hospital with a leg injury following a crash on the J59 A167 in Aycliffe.
They confirmed they received a report of a vehicle collision at around 7:50 p.m. and remained at the scene.
They said the incident involved a car colliding with a tree.
They also confirmed that a woman had been taken to hospital with a leg injury.

They added that police remained on scene to clear the area and that the road could be reopened soon.
The Northern Echo has contacted the North East Ambulance Service for further information about the incident.
