Aaron Rodgers appears to praise Novak Djokovic’s anti-vax stance

Aaron Rodgers is a big fan of Novak Djokovic and that may also apply to Djokovic’s off-court calls.

The four-time NFL MVP, who now plays for the New York Jets, allowed Djokovic to play at the US Open this weekend.

Rodgers said it checked off an item on his wish list. On Sunday he also said a little more on Instagram. Rodgers placed a goat emoji next to the hashtag “novaxdjokovic” and also underlined a photo of the logo of Moderna, one of the companies producing COVID-19 vaccines.

Rodgers expressed skepticism about the vaccines and did not receive a vaccine during the pandemic.

Djokovic did not take part in the previous two US Opens due to his vaccination status.

“I don’t regret the reason why I wasn’t here for two years at all. I’m just happy to be back,” Djokovic told CNN in August. “I’ve had a lot of success on American soil with Indian Wells, Miami, of course Canada and here I’ve won many times in these Masters 1000 events, all of them. Of course, the US Open is also the highlight of the hard court season. I’m just excited.”
