Accident involving a van on the A64 eastbound near Bilbrough in York

The North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said they were called at 5.20pm last night (23 May) after reports of an accident on the A64 eastbound in the Bilbrough area.

A spokesman for the service said: “The Tadcaster team responded to a traffic accident involving a single vehicle involving a delivery van.”

“The driver of the van had already got out of the vehicle when the crew arrived and was being examined by paramedics on site.

“Fire brigade and rescue workers ensured the safety of the scene of the accident.”
