After A Drinks Woman Decides To Call Uber Home, Finds Note On Her Car In The Morning – Women After 40

She went out, drove to her destination and ended up drinking too much. It happens all the time, and sadly, 10,000 drunk driving and driving deaths occur in the United States every year. All of these deaths could have been avoided if people had done what this woman chose to do. Don’t get back in her car. Her name is Paula Grzelak Schultz. Together, she and her husband stayed at Original Joe’s Restaurant & Bar in Sherwood Park, Alberta. The drinks were running out, the food was great and they really were having a great time.

Then it was time to go. They could get in their car and drive home drunk, or they could get a designated driver. They actually decided to just leave the car in the parking lot and call an Uber to take them home. They certainly didn’t feel it was worth it just to have the car back home.

Paula actually returned a few days later to get the car. But there was a note on the windshield.

Here’s what the note said:

“Dear Guest of Original Joe’s Sherwood Park,

I just wanted to thank you for leaving your car overnight. I’m not sure if you consumed alcohol or not at our restaurant but we wanted to say thank you for not drinking and not driving. Here is a voucher worth 1 pound of our delicious chicken wings. Please accept this as a thank you for your responsibility. Life is precious, have a great weekend.

Jay McLean

Executive Partner”

What would likely appear to most as a negative hint and warning when it comes to overnight parking in their lot actually turned out to be the opposite. The person thanked me for parking there.

That’s one reason some people drive drunk because they fear their car will be towed or get a ticket. This act should be appreciated and applauded by other bar and restaurant owners. Acting in this way as an entrepreneur can actually save lives.

Share this wonderful note with friends and family and remind everyone that taking a cab or an Uber is always better than driving drunk. After A Drinks Woman Decides To Call Uber Home, Finds Note On Her Car In The Morning – Women After 40
