Ahri ASU will make its way to League of Legends in 2023

League of Legends’ Ahri’s ASU changes are something the developers have been planning for a while. The Nine-Tailed Fox is one of the most popular midlane champions in both pro play and standard matchmaking right now.

Ahri has seen a steady rise in popularity since the rework, making her a viable choice in the Season 12 meta. Riot Games had also announced that Ahri would later receive some Art and Sustainability Updates (ASU).

However, the developers didn’t provide any further details, apart from a tiny teaser of the in-game model shown in June’s Pride Month teaser.

In a recent developer blog, Riot Games unveiled the League of Legends roadmap for the 2023 preseason and the champions the community can expect to see the rift in early 2023.

The reveal showed Ahri’s basic appearance and noted that the ASU will be slightly delayed. Instead of getting out in 2022, it’s going into the next season.

In the video, Riot Reav3 revealed the final basic appearance of Nine-Tailed Fox, which aimed to update her current attire and add new textures to her character model. Important details have been added to her tails and gown, and the particles for her abilities have been updated.

The clip showed off her new animations of what she looks like when she’s idle, walking, and using her W ability.

During the presentation, Reav3 mentioned that while the ASU has been planned for a while, the changes won’t go live any time soon and the update has been postponed.

This is due to the fact that Ahri’s incredible number of skins and cosmetic lineup has made it very difficult for the developers to patch all of the updates in a timely manner.

Ahri is one of the most popular characters in LoL, which is one of the main reasons Riot Games has given her a whole range of skins and cosmetics. Making the ASU changes to each skin is a Herculean task, so the update could likely go live in the spring. Ahri ASU will make its way to League of Legends in 2023
