Alleged drink spike incident at Slug and Lettuce in York

According to North Yorkshire Police, this happened around 11pm on April 8, into the early hours of the following day, at the Slug and Lettuce in Swinegate.

A police spokesman said: “It was a suspected man who approached the victim, a man in his early 20s, at the bar.”

“The victim was taken to the hospital after his condition rapidly deteriorated following contact with the suspect.

“Officials are asking the public to come forward if they recognize the man in the picture, as they believe he may have information to help the investigation.”
