Alleged killer charged after deadly knife attack in downtown Toronto

A 49-year-old Toronto man has been charged with murder after he was fatally stabbed in a downtown alley during daylight hours.

Toronto Police officers found seriously injured Marcus Roberts, 39, of Toronto when called to a stabbing on Yonge-Charles Sts. area on Monday afternoon.

Roberts was taken to a hospital where he died.

According to police, two men got into a fight and one stabbed the other with a sharp object.

Markland Watt, 49, of Toronto, was charged with first-degree murder.
