Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has admitted she “regrets” taking a close look at her life.
Amanda, 47, and her family signed on to the C5 reality show in 2018 after Ben Fogle brought it into the public eye.
They had appeared on his New Lives In The Wild series and the producers felt they would be perfect for their own spin-off.
But with an audience of 4 million at its peak, Shepherdess Amanda struggles at times.
Amanda previously admitted to broadcaster Alan Titchmarsh, “Everyone regrets.”
During a conversation on his show Love Your Weekend, he remarked, “Well, it puts you under the microscope, doesn’t it?” Alan remarked.
Amanda then agreed, “It can be difficult, there are no two options. You have to take the rough with the smooth.”

“You put yourself out there and pretty much can’t get it back, I suppose.”
When did Amanda Owen first get fame?
In 2011, Amanda, her husband Clive and their five young children were invited to appear on the ITV documentary series The Dales.
They became regular guests on the show, hosted by Adrian Edmondson, and viewers warmed to them.
Four years later, adventurer Ben Fogle visited her at her remote home, Ravenseat Farm, for New Lives In The Wild.
The couple had eight children at this point and Ben watched in awe as Amanda and Clive worked around the clock tending both children and livestock.
Viewers were also drawn to the Owen family and were given the opportunity to star in their own reality series.
Our Yorkshire Farm hit the screens in 2018 and has had five successful series.
Amanda and Clive, 68, now have nine children, with their youngest, Nancy, due in 2016.
Incredibly, Amanda – who is appearing on James Martin’s Saturday Morning this weekend – has also found time to write five books – one of which was a Sunday Times bestseller.
Struck by heartbreak
Our Yorkshire Farm is reportedly set to return for a sixth series.
However, Amanda and Clive shocked fans last month by confirming their marriage has broken down.
In an emotional Instagram post, Amanda said: “Clive and I sadly have to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to part ways.
“It wasn’t easy, but we both believe it’s the right choice for our family’s future.”
News of their split came months after the couple admitted they had hit a rocky spot.
In 2021, Amanda also said, “We’re a normal family and we never said our marriage was perfect.
“The constant intrusion of the media into our lives has compounded a rocky phase we are going through.
“We ask that the media respect our privacy as we work through this.”
Amanda and Clive have not commented on whether or not Season 6 of Our Yorkshire Farm will air.

But they still work on their farm and take care of their children together.
“Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm together and are co-parents, with our top priority being the happiness and well-being of our children,” they confirmed in announcing their split.
