APAT will be fully international in 2023; Full schedule released
The Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) has announced a busy ten-stop schedule for 2023, backed by tremendous success APAT UK Team Championships event at From dusk to dawn, Nottingham. Not for the first time in APAT’s long and illustrious history, the 2023 amateur-focused poker tour will travel from the UK, including trips to Ireland, Malta and the Czech Republic.
APAT fans don’t have to wait long for the next event because the APAT UK & Ireland Amateur Poker Championships takes place from March 24th to 26th at the Aspers Casino Stratford in London. Last year, 429 players took part in the £120 buy-in Main Event, which ended in a three-way deal. When the dust settled Martin Kalinov was the last player standing and he walked away with £5,000 of the £42,900 prize pool as well as a coveted APAT gold medal.
Irish Championships are part of the Irish Open 2023
A buy-in of €250 APAT Irish National Championship The event takes place from April 5th to 6th and should be huge as the tournament comes amid the celebrations of the Irish Open 2023.
Players wanting a more international flair should keep April 29-30 free, because that’s when the APAT Maltese Championship take place. Again, all APAT events are popular, but this one is one of them Spring edition of the Malta Poker Festival 2023which means it’s likely to draw an even bigger crowd than usual.
APAT returns to the Grand Casino Asch in the Czech Republic from September 27th to October 2nd with possibly the richest prize pool of the tour. The 2022 edition of the APAT German Amateur Poker Championship saw 624 players create a prize pool of €65,520, with €11,121 going to the eventual champion.

The dates for the WCOAP 2023 are set
Every APAT player dreams of becoming a world champion in their field and they have the chance to make that dream come true in the 2023 World Amateur Poker Championship (WCOAP). Considered the World Series of Poker (WSOP) for amateur players, the WCOAP is a must on the player-friendly tour for recreational players.
APAT is putting the finishing touches on WCOAP 2023, taking place August 23-28 at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, but having past WCOAPs to draw on will be phenomenal. Dan Owston is the reigning champion who led a field of 423 in 2022, an impressive result that came with a £10,000 prize.
