Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is kicked after NLD by Tottenham fan, shocking footage emerges

A Tottenham fan has kicked Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale after the Gunners managed a 2-0 away win over Tottenham Hotspur. An own goal from Hugo Lloris and a mad strike from Martin Odegaard helped the Gunners secure all three points in Sunday’s Premier League game.

Ramsdale had a verbal altercation with Richarlison after the full-time whistle was blown. As he approached the touchline, a Spurs fan from the crowd kicked the Englishman.

Arsenal were certainly the better team in the game. Arteta’s team controlled possession better and were more effective with the ball.

A Howler from Lloris gave the Gunners the lead. Lloris got off to a shaky start, fumbling Saka’s cross from the right. He saw the ball land in the back of his own net.

Moments later, Thomas Partey almost took the woodwork off when his thundering volley hit the post. Lloris could only hope it didn’t go in.

However, Lloris was well beaten for second place as Odegaard produced a strong performance from well outside the box. The Frenchman later made a great save to parry another pile driver from Odegaard.

Arteta’s side have now built a sizable eight-point lead over second-placed Manchester City at the top of the table. They currently have 47 points on the board after 18 games.

Paul Merson believes Arsenal are still behind Manchester City in terms of quality

Paul Merson recently suggested that the Gunners still lag behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in terms of quality. Merson pointed out Arteta doesn’t trust his Β£34million summer signing Fabio Vieira.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Merson said (via Mirror):

β€œThere’s nobody on the bench against Fabio Vieira, who Mikel Arteta paid Β£34m for and doesn’t seem to trust. Then two days into that game Man City looks like they could draw against Chelsea but they only bring Grealish and Mahrez and if you cross it you score.”

He added:

“It showed the quality Pep Guardiola has to work with and I just don’t see how Arsenal can live with Man City over a period where there are around 60 points to pick. Arsenal would have to take four.” Points against Man City in those two games to absolutely stand a chance of winning it. Otherwise, I just don’t see how Arsenal will do it.
