Ashley Graham has reacted to the viral clip of her interview with Hugh Grant on the red carpet at the Oscars on Sunday (March 12).

The British actor has been accused by viewers of being “obnoxious” and “rude” to Graham, who was interviewing celebrities on the red carpet on behalf of the ABC pre-Oscars programme.

Known for his wry humor and sarcasm, Grant gave Graham blunt answers when she asked him questions about what he was wearing and how he liked his cameo on the Knives Out sequel glass onion.

Realizing she had hit a wall with the actor giving blunt answers, Graham ended the interview. Grant appeared to shake his head in confusion as he walked away from the camera.

Viewers have called the exchange “awkward,” “a disaster,” and “painful,” while some accused Grant of being “rude” and “obnoxious” to Graham, who asked questions typical of the ceremony. Other viewers have questioned why Grant attended the event in the first place, as he didn’t seem thrilled to be there.

Graham has now addressed the viral interview after a reporter asked if she offended Grant’s responses.

“You know what, my mama told me to kill people with kindness, so go for it,” Graham told the US publication TMZ on Monday (March 13).

Graham didn’t elaborate on the moment, but reiterated that she “had such a good time” interviewing celebrities on the red carpet.

The 2023 ceremony brought great victories for Everything everywhere at oncewho took home seven awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh.
