Barcelona vs Real Madrid preview
It’s been a return to the good old days for Xavi’s men this season, who have had a stellar domestic season thus far, dropping points in just four of their 25 games. Amazingly, they have only conceded eight league goals so far.
While Barca have all but tied the La Liga title, their form in Europe has been a disappointment – Manchester United knocked them out of the Europa League in the play-off stage – but to counteract that they have already won the Spanish Super Cup and see well placed to win another Copa del Rey.

Cope Del Rey also in Barca’s sights
They won 1-0 in the first Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Madrid – the away game – and they already have the upper hand in the second leg, which is due to take place at the Camp Nou on April 5.
Despite a surprise 1-0 defeat by Almeria in late February, Barca bounced back quickly to enter this El Clasico after two solid 1-0 wins – against Valencia and Athletic Bilbao.
Real Madrid on course for success in the Champions League
A 36th LaLiga title looks like a long shot for Real Madrid but they still have a strong shot at capturing European football’s greatest prize – the Champions League – after beating Liverpool 6-2 on aggregate. They now face more EPL opponents in the form of Chelsea in the last eight.
While Los Blancos come into the game with a win – they beat Espanyol 3-1 at the Bernabeu last weekend – their form has been up and down since the turn of the year and prior to last weekend they had drawn their last two La Liga games- Matches – against Atletico Madrid and Real Betis.

Good away form for Blancos
A big plus for Ancelotti ahead of this game is his side’s excellent away form, who have accumulated 28 points in their 13 games, which is the same amount they accumulated at the Bernabeu. They also have a good recent record against Barca to draw on, winning five of their last six La Liga games.
In that equal game last season, the Whites won 2-1 – Alaba and Vazquez were the scorers – and in the second leg this season they won 3-1 with goals from Benzema, Valverde and Rodrygo.

Real came into this game as the top team in recent La Liga El Clasicos, but Barca are one of the current top teams across Europe. And with a recent El Clasico win behind them in the Cope Del Rey and still in the plus money, the value bet here is home win.
