The Premier League begins this weekend against Brentford for Spurs, but Ange Postecoglou’s side, who clinched a 5-1 win over Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday, when Harry Kane scored four goals.
Before the focus shifts to LaLiga, Tottenham travel to Spain to host Barcelona’s traditional opener, the Joan Gamper Trophy.
This is the 58th time the competition has been staged, with Barcelona unbeaten in the annual friendly since 2012. Spurs are the first English side to be involved since Arsenal were beaten four years ago.

The host is the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium in Barcelona. The Nou Camp is being renovated this season.

Ilkay Gündogan and Andreas Christensen both came off in the first half against Real Madrid at the start of pre-season and may not be included once the new season has started.
Ousmane Dembele will not feature as his move to PSG is nearing completion but Robert Lewandowski will lead the squad.
Changes are expected from Tottenham, who named an incredibly strong side against Shakhtar on Sunday. Players like Harry Kane, James Maddison and Cristian Romero could all be eliminated from the starting line-up as a result.
Richarlison is expected to be there having missed the Shakhtar game by just one shot, while Manor Solomon and Yves Bissouma could be among those who come in and get their chance to impress.
