BBC Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job return for season two

The couple have secured another one-euro home, but this time in the Tuscan hills.

The series is set to put the duo’s crafting and design skills to the test as they join a group of local artisans and renovate a run-down historic home with a medieval tower that calls for some TLC.

The warmth and humor of their friendship will shine through as they face inevitable construction challenges and design dilemmas throughout the project.

The first series was hugely popular with viewers, averaging 3.9 million viewers over eight episodes, with 1.3 million coming via iPlayer and peaking at 4.6 million for the most watched episode.

When the renovation is complete, the home will be sold and the profits will be donated to charity.

Alan and Amanda’s renovation project from the first series – Casa Alamanda – is currently being sold, with net profits split equally between Children in Need and Comic Relief.

Amanda Holden says: “I’m obviously delighted that Alan and I have received a second season of a show that we created together. I’m thinking of giving up my nail extensions this time, but I’ll definitely keep the lashes!

“I’ve got the Aperol Spritz on ice and I’m getting dressed in a new jumpsuit! I adore Alan and this job suits us both perfectly. The best thing about it is that we can continue to raise more money for charities that are making a huge difference in the lives of so many people.”

Alan Carr says: “I am so excited to be returning to Italy with my good friend Amanda for some more blood, sweat and tiles. I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and transform another euro house. What could possibly go wrong?!!”
