BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty has had to apologize to her co-star Charlie Stayt today (6 August).
Naga hosted alongside Charlie, and the pair perused the dailies at the start of the show.
The apology came after Naga accidentally made a cheeky reference to Charlie.

Naga’s joke came when she asked Charlie what story he would like to cover next.
He was offered a choice between a newspaper report on “danger” and one on crabs.
Only the way Naga asked Charlie sounded rather rude and left her in fits of giggles.
She said, “What would you rather have, a danger story or crabs?”
Charlie was staring straight at the camera, looking rather embarrassed and unable to formulate an answer.
Naga, realizing what she had said, burst into fits of giggles while Charlie kept his face impassive.
“We’re sorry!” she giggled.
Serious Charlie corrects his co-host
Then Charlie broke his silence and corrected Naga.
“I think a story about crabs is the answer to that,” he said.
“We’re sorry!” Naga explained again and continued to laugh.

Then she turned to the newspaper report and tried to calm herself.
Not before one last giggle, though, as she quipped, “Okay crabs, you asked for crabs…here’s crabs.”
“I asked for a story about crabs,” Charlie said again, making Naga giggle again.
Another crab excuse!
She then went on to tell a story about the crabs that flocked to a beach in St Ives.
Naga then apologized again as she tried to say the name of the beach they had come down on.
“Sorry to everyone who lives there if I mispronounce that,” she said, referring to Porthgwidden Beach.
Naga laughs during the cancer story
Last month, Naga had to apologize to the show’s guests after she laughed during a discussion about cancer.

Luckily for the BBC Breakfast presenter, however, the guest also saw the funny side, telling Naga: “We’ve laughed a lot over the last three years, really, because you just have to see the funny side of things.”
