Most of the attention has been on Amanda Abbington after she announced she was leaving Strictly on Monday (October 23).
In an episode of Strictly: It Takes Two today (Monday October 23), presenter Fleur East briefly shared a statement from the show.
The statement said: “Amanda Abbington cannot continue on Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition.
“The show wishes her all the best for the future.”

According to The Sun, even those behind the scenes seem to believe that some of the celebrity contestants are favored by the show.
The news outlet reported that favoritism was directed towards McDermott and EastEnders. Bobby Brazzier as both have contracts with the BBC outside of Strictly.
A show insider told The Sun: “Bobby and Zara are considered ‘BBC favorites’ by their Strictly co-stars.
“After she was rescued, there were more than a few raised eyebrows backstage.”
The insider added: “Bobby and Zara are both big deals for the BBC. There are rumors of an “agenda” to move both of them forward on the show.
“There seems to be an element of jealousy that Zara is going through another week. She’s a real golden girl for the BBC.”
“And by trying out Bobby on Strictly they can gauge his popularity outside of the soap.”
BBC denies rumors of favoritism on Strictly Come Dancing
Despite reports of favoritism reported by The Sun, sources close to the BBC and Strictly Come Dancing have reported The mirror it is not true.
A Strictly source said: “All the judges are highly experienced individuals who judge solely on dance and dancing in the main show and dance offs.”
“Any conspiracy theory that suggests otherwise is simply untrue.”
