BBC Happy Valley star Rhys Connah tells fans about spin-off
Speaking at the National Television Awards earlier this week, Rhys opened up about whether or not there would be a new series based around his character.
At the NTAs, Sarah Lancashire (Sergeant Catherine Cawood) won the Special Recognition Award after receiving widespread acclaim from both viewers and critics.
Ozzy Osbourne has insisted The Osbournes wasn’t in the script “at all”.

In conversation with the Radio Times On the NTA red carpet, Rhys Connah discussed the possibility of a spin-off program BBC.
He told the publication: “That’s not happening,” adding: “I’m sorry to say, that’s not the case. They wrote the three seasons they wanted to do and the story is finished.”
“Even if I would enjoy making it into a movie, it wouldn’t be the best thing for the story, so that’s it. Three seasons, you know.”

Happy valleywhich comes from the pen of Sally Wainwrightfirst aired in 2014 and ran for three seasons.
While a new show seems unlikely, the cast was quick to praise Wainwright and Sarah Lancashire hinted at possible projects together in the future.
Mollie Winnard, who played Joanna Hepworth, revealed she wanted to work with the author before she became an actress.
She said: “When I was 16, watching the show, long before I became an actress, I had actually written on a little notepad that I wanted to work with Sarah because I had seen Happy Valley.”
“So yes, Sally Wainwright is phenomenal, her work is excellent.”
