Berry’s opens new branch at 60 Stonegate in York
Berry’s has announced the opening of a new store at 60 Stonegate in addition to the other existing stores at numbers 1 and 52 Stonegate.
According to Berry’s, which was established in Scarborough and Southport in 1897, the three venues in the historic Minster Quarter all complement each other.
The company also says each store has the perfect space to showcase some of the world’s most luxurious watch brands and Berry’s jewelry collections.
Berry’s is preparing to open a third jewelry store in York
The new store, housed in a historic building dating back to 1646, will house an all-new, dedicated Patek Philippe showroom and the company’s own Berry’s Fine Jewelery portfolio.

Berrys says the new concept will allow Berry’s to offer some of the UK’s most unique jewelery designs in a luxurious setting, and is also a natural next step in its longstanding partnership with renowned Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe.
The new premises total 70m² of prime retail space, along with the two current Stonegate stores, which reported “impressive” sales figures in 2021 – even if one Stonegate store opened in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The opening of the new location has created five jobs and the opening brings the total number of Berry’s stores across the UK to 12, spread across Leeds, York, Windsor, Newcastle, Nottingham and Hull.

“Despite apparent challenges from nationwide lockdowns and restrictions in recent years, Berry’s has continued to grow and this is just one of our many achievements. We look forward to welcoming shoppers to our New York store this summer!”
Founded by Mr Abe Berens, Berry’s is headquartered in Leeds and has a retail website in addition to its stores.
The company states that it sources and imports the highest quality jewelry from around the world, working with experienced gemstone dealers. In addition to the leading Swiss watch manufacturers, Berry’s also sells its own range of jewelery and much more.

The new Berry’s store complements a thriving jewelry district in York.
Family-run jewelery company Beaverbrooks has recently opened a large new store in the former Accessorize and Space NK boutiques in Davygate, after moving from its previous, smaller premises in Spurriergate.

More jewelery shops will be added to Davygate in the coming months, including a Mappin & Webb jewelery shop to open in part of the former Debenhams department store and former Virgin Money branch after moving from Coney Street, and watch retailer Breitling, which the former Halifax Bank will open there.
