Best car wax and polish

A good car wax can reduce the need or frequency of car polishing overall.

What Type of Car Wax is Best?

You’ll find car wax available in paste, liquid, spray and more forms. They all offer a protective and shiny finish, but sprays are the quickest to apply. Pastes can be more difficult and time consuming but offer longer lasting results. Somewhere in between we have liquid. Many car enthusiasts believe that the harder you try, the better the result, but all car waxes are worth the money.

Car wax is typically made from either natural sources (like the carnauba plant) or synthetic silicones. Typically, pastes are natural and liquids are synthetic, using artificial polymers or resins instead of oils.

Typically, lighter colored vehicles look better with synthetic waxes and darker colored vehicles look better with natural waxes.

What is carnauba wax?

Native to Brazil, carnauba wax comes from the leaves of the Copernicia prunifera palm and is incredibly popular with car owners. It’s virtually insoluble in rain and extremely heat resistant, making it perfectly durable for British weather.

How to wax a car

1. Wash your car. Wax works best on clean surfaces. You don’t want to trap dirt, grime, or grit under a layer of this. A quick car shampoo will go a long way; Just remember to keep the water clean so you don’t reintroduce dirt that you’ve already washed off.
