Big Brother to return in 2023 as bookies reveal favourites to host

Big Brother is set to return in 2023, with the popular reality TV show making its comeback on ITV.

The news was announced last night during the final commercial break of the Love Island finale.

And back then, die-hard fans of the show said they enjoyed the announcement more than the Love Island finale itself.

None other than Big Brother alumnus and current This Morning host Alison Hammond.

Of course, Alison rose to fame when she appeared on Big Brother in 2002.

Surprisingly, she was the second contestant to be kicked out of the show’s third series.

However, now that her presentation skills have been honed on This Morning, Kate believes she would be perfect for the job.

Alison Hammond as hostess?

Showbiz reporter Richard Arnold opened the conversation.

He said: “When Big Brother returns on ITV2 next year, I wonder who will be hosting it? Mo Gilligan was thrown in the frame.

“We talked about our very own Queen of the Day, Alison Hammond, upstairs, of course,” he added.

Kate enthusiastically replied: “Oh, she would be amazing.

“It was [Big Brother] that brought them into the herd, didn’t it?” she said.

Richard Madeley then discussed the potential return of Davina McCall.

“She made it pretty clear that a chapter in her life is over when she didn’t return for the Channel 5 reboot, so I can’t see Davina taking over,” he said.

Kate added: “She’s too busy judging sausages [on The Masked Singer] on primetime television.

“Rylan Clark or Alison would be great,” Kate added.
