We round up the Netflix series Blood & Water Season 3 Episode 6, “A Tale of Two Sisters” which contains spoilers and explains the ending.

After this dramatic and explosive penultimate episode, many questions descend on the finale of blood & water season 3. Will Puleng Khumalo (Ama Qamata) Escape the boat and get rescued from the human trafficking ring? Will Fikile Bhele (Khosi Ngema) survive the gunshot wound inflicted on her Lisbeth? And finally, will the perpetrators causing all this pain finally get justice? (Or will it be teased season 4). Well, in the end there are many answers blood & water Season 3, but also some questions – let’s recap Episode 6.

Blood & Water Season 3 Episode 6 Summary – How Does Puleng Escape the Ship?

After Episode 5’s shocking ending, it is revealed that Lisbeth shot and killed Fikile amidst the chaos. To see how hurt Fiks is, Chris and KB are in fear. And then, to make matters worse, KB’s father, Matla Molapo, is shot by one of Lisbeth’s men. Lisbeth stands above everyone and does nothing. She is a cold and calculated character, and the season 3 finale shows the measures she is willing to take to avoid consequences for her criminal actions.

Meanwhile on the ship, where one of the human trafficking cells is in full operation, Janet rings detective Vaans secretly asking for help. Amber and Puleng fear for their lives after realizing they are victims of human trafficking. Puleng discusses desperate escape plans with Amber.






Fikile’s condition is critical and her stepfather, Brian BraleShe is told that she needs a liver transplant (from a donor) which requires a matching blood type. KB’s father survives. KB asks his father where Puleng is, and he manages to say “ship” before he needs urgent medical attention.

Wade and Lunga have been conducting their own private investigation and they are locating the port where Puleng is suspected. At the shipyard they call KB and Chris – initial panic as the duo think they have lost track of Puleng. But “Wade Being Wade” finds out that “Mayfair” is the ship, a name they’ve heard a lot, so they have to figure out which ship is based on that name. This was hardly an aha moment – Mayfair is a popular ship name.








Back on the ship, Puleng brutally attacks one of the men, causing panic and confusion among the other women. In the meantime, detective Peterson finds out about the ship from Chris and KB and calls her colleague Vaan to alert him to the new information. However, he is involved in the human trafficking cell, so this is a lost cause.




Fiks’ life is on the line when she is put on the transplant waiting list. Her only hope is her long-lost biological father, Anthony. He’s her only chance. Thandeka meets Fikile’s birth father and she tells him the truth about how she got pregnant and how she ultimately never told him she bore a child by him. Anthony, however, feels resentment and tells Thhakenda how unfair it is of her to come to him years later and expect him to give away his liver. Thandeka tells Anthony not to punish her for what she has done in the past.

And then we find out how Puleng escaped from the ship blood & water Season 3 Episode 6. She frantically jumps off the ship and into the water while being shot at. The police arrive and Detective Vaan covers up his criminal corruption by killing his acquaintances and alerting the authorities so Puleng can be rescued.






Blood & Water season 3 ending explained




As we reach the final act of Season 3, friends are visiting Puleng in the hospital. Puleng apologizes to KB, knowing he is ashamed of what his parents did. And then Puleng privately grabs Wade and says “thank you,” thanking her for everything he’s done for her. Wade tells her they are “friends” and confirms they broke up, which pains Puleng. However, Wade doesn’t think he and Puleng can work together romantically. Meanwhile, Chris reconciles with Lunga.






Puleng visits Fik’s bedside. It has been confirmed that Fikile’s biological father, Anthony, accepted the liver transplant and saved her life. And then grief hits Puleng as she realizes her father is dead. Puleng blames himself and sobs.

We’re reaching the end of Blood & Water Season 3many plot points are tied, but a few storylines remain for a possible Season 4:

Principal Daniels gives a farewell speech. She says it was an “incredible honor” to be its director. Reece leads the applause, which leads to a chorus of cheers.






Although Detective Vaans appears to be covering his tracks, his colleague Peterson arrests him. She has a tape recording between him and Lisbeth. Meanwhile, Sam is found.






Wendy returns home and visits Chris. She wants things to “work” between them, which puts him in an awkward position, especially since he’s developed a romance with Lunga.




Fikile visits Puleng’s house and Thakenda is overjoyed. They celebrate the birthday of the late Julius, Puleng’s father. Puleng’s mother assures her daughter that it is not her fault that her father died.




blood & water Season 3 ends with the drug trafficking ring preparing to shut down the cell Lisbeth was running. However, they are not too concerned since they have many more cells. A photo of an unconscious Sam appears on the computer screen. What does this mean for Season 4?

Additional plot points for the season 3 finale

  • Reece apologizes to former principal Daniels for the trouble she caused. Daniels is disappointed in Reece and tells her to “get her shit together”.
  • Reece finds out who runs the Side Chicks Chronicles with the help of Tahira. It’s Pauline. Reece angrily confronts her.
