Boris Johnson referred to police over allegations of breaking lockdown rules
The news comes as Mr Johnson’s ministerial diary notes visits from friends to Checkers during the pandemic. Sky news reports.
The Cabinet Office has referred concerns to the Metropolitan Police and Thames Valley Police after the visits were highlighted during preparations for a public inquiry into the coronavirus pandemic.

A spokesman for Mr Johnson said: “Some abridged entries in Mr Johnson’s official diary were interrogated by the Cabinet Office during the preparation of the COVID inquiry.”
“After examining the entries, Mr Johnson’s lawyers wrote to the Cabinet Office and Privileges Committee stating that the events were lawful and did not breach COVID regulations.”
A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “We have received information from the Cabinet Office which was sent to us on 19 May 2023 and which we are currently evaluating. They relate to potential breaches of health regulations between June 2020 and May 2021.” Downing Street.”
Boris Johnson’s wife announces she is pregnant with third child
Carrie Johnson, wife of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, recently announced that she is pregnant.
She posted on Instagram: “A new team member is coming in just a few weeks.”
“I’ve been feeling pretty drained for most of the last eight months, but we can’t wait to meet this little one.
“Wil is [very] I’m excited to be a big brother again and have been chatting about it non-stop. I don’t think Romy has any idea what’s in store for her… She will soon!”
It will be the couple’s third child together as the Johnsons are already parents to Wilf and Romy.
Wilf, whose full name is Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson, was the first child born on April 29, 2020, while Romy Iris Charlotte was born on December 9, 2021.
