While there are many skincare lines with high-voltage names, not everyone has an area advantage. but Brad Pitt does. He owns the Château Miraval, the now famous estate in southern France.
In an interview with British Fashion, Pitt spoke about how Le Domaine, its new all-brands skincare line, plans to differentiate itself in a saturated market. “Throughout the centuries, Château Miraval has always been this hub of creativity, it has so many places to sit and think, expand and explore and make beautiful things,” he said. “I know almost every day there are new products that people want to launch, but if I hadn’t seen a real visual difference in my skin, we wouldn’t have bothered.”
Pitt made the line in partnership with the Perrin family, who also work with the actor on the very popular Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé (besides the grape-based products, the winery also produces a trifecta of luxury foods, according to Pitt: honey, truffles and olive oil ). Their skincare products are a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre (plus some other patented and highly scientific-sounding active ingredients).
In the article and subsequent interviews Fashion posted to Instagram, Pitt took some time to call friends who happen to be very famous. When he was encouraged to show off his new products without making it “QVC,” he reeled off a forgotten script of a movie: “I wouldn’t know how to do that unless it was comedy. Actually, Sandy [Bullock] and I once tried to come up with a whole idea of a husband and wife team who were QVC’s top sellers, but we’re getting divorced, we hate each other, and we’re getting it on the air while we’re selling things… We didn’t get that far.”
Pitt finally admitted that george clooney, his friend in pranks and other male bonding techniques is hot. “If I wanted to name someone who’s in attendance, well, I have to name that George Clooney f–ker, because why not?” Pitt said. “Because usually I always take him out and he always takes me out. And this time I will go the other way, just this once.”

And in the original article, he yelled at his ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow, goop magnate. “I love what Gwyneth has done. She’s still a really dear friend, and she built this empire. As a curator, she’s always had that in her, and it’s been a wonderful creative outlet for her. Come to think of it, she was probably the first one who made me even wash my face twice a day… maybe.”
The interview never hints at some of the problems below the surface – or in this case I suppose the correct euphemism is below the surface terroir. Pitt and Jolie acquired a controlling interest in Château Miraval, a winery in southern France, in 2008. They married there in 2014, and after their split in 2016, viewers began to wonder what the fate of Miraval would be. By 2019, it was becoming clear that the estate would become a point of contention.
