Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was spotted in New York after his team’s 20-10 win over the New Orleans Saints. He was there to cheer on his son, John “Jack” Moynahan, who was playing a football game.
Jack’s team played Monday afternoon. The 45-year-old stormed into the Big Apple to watch his son do his thing. According to a People source, the seven-time Super Bowl champion cheered for his son while keeping to himself throughout the game.
The source said:
“He and a friend kept to themselves. His other children weren’t with him this time. He appeared to be smiling and yelled to cheer on Jack.”
According to a People source, the quarterback also flew to New York a few weeks ago to attend his son’s practice.
The source said:
“Tom was in high spirits and chatted with all the parents. He flew all the way in for scrimmage.”
This comes at a time when Brady and Gisele Bundchen’s marriage has reportedly faltered. It all stems from the fact that the 45-year-old didn’t retire a few months ago. The quarterback reportedly agreed to retire from the NFL to spend more time with his wife and kids, only to back down on the idea after just 40 days.
This led to Gisele reportedly leaving the home she shares with the quarterback and taking the kids with her. That rift is also reportedly the reason Brady took an 11-day break from the Buccaneers in the preseason. He did this to work on his family issues.
Have Brady’s off-field issues affected his football?
How could it not, right? Arguing with a family member is rough enough, but when it comes to your wife and how wrong things have gone, it’s no wonder the 45-year-old doesn’t seem like himself.
Against the Saints on Sunday, the seven-time Super Bowl winner seemed rather dimwitted and was often frustrated and angry during the game. Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe said on “Undisputed” that if anyone thinks there’s no correlation between the two, they’re wrong.
“Anyone who doesn’t believe that what’s going on off the field isn’t affecting the way Brady plays and behaves on the field is sadly mistaken.”
Whether the quarterback can separate the two and find his best football is unknown, but it’s clearly and rightfully challenging him.
Hope everything works out for the best, but times are tough in the Brady household right now.
