Brawl at Bootham in York – police release CCTV image

North Yorkshire Police have released an image of a man they want to locate and speak to over a physical and verbal altercation that took place at Bootham in York on Sunday 16 July around 2.30pm.

A police spokesman said: “The man officers would like to speak to is described as being in his mid-forties, with gray hair, wearing glasses and wearing a blue Adidas T-shirt and blue shorts.”

“He was also spotted at the National Railway Museum earlier in the day and is believed to have been with two young boys and a woman who was wearing a denim shirt.

“It is believed that the man in the picture has important information that could assist officers in their investigations.

“Anyone who recognizes the man or has information that could assist the investigation is asked to email”
