Brenda Edwards breaks silence over claims ‘Jamal’s mural tribute on fire’

Brenda Edwards has responded to claims that her son Jamal’s mural has been vandalized.

The Loose Women star’s son Jamal Edwards tragically passed away earlier this year.

Rumors recently surfaced that his mural had been set on fire, and social media was filled with questions as a result.

Following the claims, Brenda decided to address the reports on Instagram today (July 15).

Brenda Edwards breaks the silence on Jamal Edwards claims

“Why do people have to talk about things they know NOTHING about?” she wrote.

“Nobody set Jamal’s mural on fire. Some candles went out of control and the black smoke reached the bottom of the mural.”

“It was cleaned first thing in the morning and is as good as new. Thanks for the concern,” she added.

Brenda has been open and honest about her grief since her son’s death.

Jamal died in February at the age of 31 from cardiac arrhythmias caused by “recreational drug use,” Brenda confirmed.

Brenda said of Lorraine, “It’s important for me to keep my mind busy because when you’re left with stillness, you’re left with a lot of different thoughts.

“I’ve always been someone who wants to be busy and I’ve always been someone who loves to sing.

“When I entertain someone else, I make them happy and that makes me happy.”

She previously confessed that she could only “put one foot in front of the other” each day.

“I put one foot in front of the other every day,” Brenda said.

“There are triggers I don’t know what they are. You have to allow yourself to grieve and cry when I want to cry. And then I stand up and say, ‘Let’s get on with this.’”
