Brentford 3-0 Burnley: The Bees bring the season to life with a dominant performance despite a VAR error
Replays clearly showed Collins was offside and the only Brentford player offside was Kristoffer Ajer behind him. Instead of overturning the decision and allowing the goal, the VAR considered that Ajer had intervened in the play and therefore left the goal counted. Ajer was nowhere near the ball. It was a glaring mistake, and it’s hard not to see it as Stockley Park revisionism.
