Kazuki (voiced by Toshiyuki Toyonaga), Rei (voiced by Koki Uchiyama)And miri (spoken by Hina cinema) seemed closer than ever buddy dads Season 1 Episode 9 during their school’s field day. It was a sweet episode as viewers saw the trio come together to win a gold medal. However, although things seem to be going well now, the boss hasn’t forgotten his smack at Kazuki and Miri. Just when Rei seemed to have found his family, his father might be the one putting it all on the line.

Buddy Daddies Season 1 Episode 10 Summary

The episode begins with Miri’s class learning the song Stille Nacht for the upcoming Christmas party. Meanwhile, Kazuki and Rei decide what to get her for Christmas. When Rei and Kazuki show up to get Miri out of kindergarten, Unasaka MisakiShe stands outside and waits for you. She says she came to get Miri back.

Why does Misaki want Miri back?

After allowing Misaki and Miri to spend the day together at their house, Kazuki and Rei confront her once Miri has fallen asleep. She says she returned because she was fired from her job, lost her husband and, worst of all, her cancer has spread to her throat, leaving her unable to sing.

After admitting that she doesn’t know how much longer she has to live, she begs for another chance with Miri, even promising not to completely eradicate her life.

Why did Kyutaro tell Misaki what Kazuki and Rei do for a living?

When Misaki tells Kazuki and Rei that she wants to take Miri with her, she uses her job against them, saying that she knows what they are doing and how dangerous it is. Angered, Kazuki and Rei later vent to Kyutaro, wondering how Misaki could have figured out her profession.

Kyutaro admits he told Misaki they were assassins to save Kazuki and Rei from the Organization. The organization thinks Miri’s presence makes their work “careless,” and if they don’t get rid of her soon, the punishment will only get worse.

After spending a final day shopping, eating out, playing games, and horseback riding together, Kazuki and Rei bring Miri to visit Misaki. Although Kazuki calls it an overnight stay, it feels more like an exchange.

In a series where I was expecting a lot of action, as I mentioned before, there’s honestly very little of it. However, tonight’s episode puts into perspective what all of the relationship building this season was intended for. Constantly anticipating a big fight sequence or assassination, I didn’t see that option coming, and honestly, it hurt almost worse. Throughout the season we saw how much Kazuki and Rei care for Miri, but it wasn’t until they lost her that I realized how attached I was to their sweet little family. It seems all of these family-focused episodes really made an impact.

Despite the lack of action, this episode has been one of the best of the season so far. It finally feels like something is at stake which has made watching Kazuki, Rei and Miri that much more entertaining as we watch them fight to keep what they have.
