Cabinet Secretary Simon Case is taking leave for health reasons
Politico, which first reported his absence, said Rishi Sunak would brief Cabinet on the situation, with parts of Mr Case’s role in his absence being filled by a number of senior officials rather than anyone stepping in as Cabinet secretary.
