Can someone stop Patrick Mahomes?

This Super Bowl will likely be a tale of two quarterbacks: Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. In terms of hurts, Mahomes is the best quarterback in football. He’ll win another MVP after losing arguably the best wide receiver in football this season.
He carried the Kansas City Chiefs through the playoffs and into the Super Bowl on a limping ankle. The Philadelphia Eagles are a well-rounded team with strong defense, but the Chiefs walk like Mahomes.
In terms of winning the Super Bowl MVP, Mahomes is the most likely. He’s been the best player all year and he will be the best player on this field.
Will he be able to win MVP? If the Chiefs win, he will undoubtedly take home his second award of this kind. The way they are set up if they win it will be down to an incredible performance from Mahomes.
With no wide receiver, nonexistent running game, so-so defense, and the Eagles being way better of all of that and more, Mahomes will need to put on an all-time performance to claim the win. If he doesn’t, then the door is surely open to others.
If not Patrick Mahomes, who can be Super Bowl MVP?
The Eagles probably have the strongest postseason defense and certainly the strongest the Chiefs have seen in this playoff.
Patrick Mahomes is the best of the best, but facing Darius Slay and James Bradberry with a bunch of injured passers is going to be difficult.
That opens the door. When the Eagles run all over Kansas City, expect Hurts to be in the thick of it and win the prize.
Also, don’t count out one of their two elite wide receivers. Not many people can protect AJ Brown, so he might have a Cooper Kupp-esque game. Devonta Smith is no slouch either and won’t be drawing the best coverage the Chiefs have to offer.
Haason Reddick wreaked havoc with the San Francisco 49ers, so he’s certainly capable of a Super Bowl MVP-like performance on defense.
Patrick Mahomes is the favorite for a reason, but the Super Bowl MVP is almost always on the winning side. That opens the door for Hurts, Brown or even Miles Sanders to potentially take home the award.
