Cast of the Harry Potter TV series: The favorites for taking on iconic roles
While the new Harry Potter TV series, based on JK Rowling’s seven books, is not expected to arrive until 2024/25, there has already been speculation as to who will be taking on the roles of the popular characters.
Actors/actresses such as Adam Driver, Bronte Carmichael and Tom Felton have been rumored to be linked to the series.
While bookmakers names like Nick Frost, Bill Nighy and Charles Dance into the mix to fill the roles including Voldemort and Dumbledore.

Cast of the Harry Potter TV series
Accordingly radio timesToby Woolf is rumored to be taking on the role Harry Potter – previously played by Daniel Radcliffe – in the coming year TV series.
British actress Bronte Carmichael (Andor and Game of Thrones) is rumored to be taking over the role of Emma Watson’s Hermione.
Joshua Pickering (Peter Pan and Wendy) is rumored to be playing Ron weasleypreviously played by Rupert Grint.
Adam DriverKylo Ren in war of stars) is another actor linked to the new Harry Potter TV series. Rumor has it that he could take on the role of Professor Severus Snape.
Snape was played by the late Alan Rickman in the Harry Potter films.
Tom Felton (The Flash), who played Draco Malfoy in the films, is rumored to be returning to the Potterverse on screen this time as his father Lucius.

The bookies had their opinions on who they think will fill the remaining roles.
British actor Nick Frost (Paul and Shaun of the Dead) is the favorite to play Rebeus Hagrid.
Frost is the favorite at 2/1 to fill the role vacated by the late Robbie Coultrane ahead of the likes of Rory McCann (4/1), Nick Offerman (5/1) and Zach Galifianakis (13/2). Betting site OLBG.
Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones) is the favorite to play Albus Dumbledore, a position previously occupied by Michael Gambon and Richard Harris in Game of Thrones Harry Potter films and more recently by Jude Law in the Fantastic Beasts series.

According to OLBG ratings, Lord Voldemort, Harry Potter’s nemesis, is expected to be played by Bill Nighy (“Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Love Actually”).
Nighy is a 3/1 favorite for the role ahead of Benedict Cumberbatch (“Doctor Strange”, “Sherlock” and “The Hobbit”) and Ralph Fiennes, who played Voldemort in the films.
Nighy has also appeared in the Harry Potter films, briefly playing the role of Rufus Scrimgeour in Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
