Cayton residents are angry about the positioning of lampposts on the sidewalk

Resident Barbara Davies, 70, described the lamppost’s placement as “disgraceful”.
She said: “It’s a shame. Wheelchairs and electric scooters cannot avoid it, and neither can mothers with prams.”
“Somebody has to come and postpone it. I don’t know when it will happen, but I expect the public will pay for it.”
Gareth Taylor said: “I feel so sorry for the residents of this row of houses. They had to endure for years the facades of their houses being dug up, constant traffic lights and new construction that once ruined a beautiful country.” Roadway.
“Now this monstrosity has been confiscated by a Jobsworth in a hurry.”

The new streetlights were installed as part of a new housing development in the area, which has already caused dissatisfaction among local residents.
Becky Gillon added, “Looking at the placement of the previous one, I really can’t see why whoever put it in thought it was a good idea.”
Meanwhile, Sue Ainsworth added: “Don’t they know?” [the pavement] is for people with prams, wheelchairs and disabled scooters?”
North Yorkshire Council has been contacted for comment.
