Celebrity SAS: Matt Hancock tells Gina Coladangelo he’s fine
Earlier this year it was announced that Hancock would join the 2023 squad alongside players such as Gareth Thomas, James “Arg” Argent, Gareth Gates and Montana Brown.
Celebrity SAS is the second show Hanock has appeared on recently, as he also appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celeb towards the end of 2022, where he came third.
His television appearances came after the former health minister resigned in June 2021 following revelations that he had breached his own Covid-19 guidelines by kissing and hugging his adviser Coladangelo in his office.

Matt Hancock gets a call from Gina Coladangelo on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins
After facing grueling challenges during the jungle phase of the SAS selection in Thung Ui, North Vietnam, Hancock was granted a reprieve in the form of a video call to a loved one.
The 45-year-old arrived in what looked like an interrogation room before his hood was removed.
The West Suffolk MP told Ms Coladangelo: “I’m fine, I’m fine.”
She replied, “Oh, you are, my darling. Isn’t it damn hard?”
Hancock referred to the need to follow the rules set by leaders during training, saying: “You know what? Guess what was the hardest part for me? I do not answer.”
She replied, “So you will use this skill at home?”
Elsewhere, Hancock said that “it is impossible to serve in government without appreciating and respecting the work of the special forces” as he crawled through mud during a task in the episode.
As part of the program, participants pulled themselves across a 90 meter wide gorge before plunging 50 meters down to an extraction point below.
