Census 2021: Just 27% of people living in Belfast identify as exclusively British

Just 27% of people living in Northern Ireland’s largest urban area identify themselves solely as British, down 8% since the last census in 2011.

This reflects the decline in the city’s Protestant population, which is now 36%, according to official figures.
