Chelsea are considering sponsoring Parimatch Tech after the betting company was sanctioned by Ukraine

helsea is reviewing its sponsorship deal with Parimatch Tech after the betting firm was sanctioned by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Parimatch is one of 287 companies banned from doing business in Ukraine for 50 years for continuing to do business in Russia, which Zelensky claims directly supported Vladimir Putin’s regime.
Chelsea signed a three-year deal with Parimatch in 2021, whose logo can be seen on LED scoreboards at Stamford Bridge.
The association is aware of the sanctions and operates “information collection”. Parimatch also has commercial deals with Newcastle, Aston Villa and Leicester.
Zelenskyy said: “These are more than 280 companies and 120 people who have worked against Ukraine through gambling deals, withdrawing funds from our state and financing various Russian schemes.”
An earlier version of this article said that Sportradar AG had been sanctioned by Volodymyr Zelensky. We have been asked to clarify that the Ukraine sanctioned company, Sportradar LLC, is fully independent and separate from Sportradar AG. We apologize for the error.
