Apart from Chris Stapleton Arguably the greatest singer/songwriter in mainstream country music, the man has also been featured in a slew of impressive duets in recent years.
We’ve seen the dude team up with Santana for an epic duet titled “Joy,” Tom Morello for “The War Inside,” and Kelly Clarkson for “Glow,” along with an insanely good rendition of Metallica’s “Nothing Else.” “. Affairs.”
Taylor Swift, Adele, Pink, Justin Timberlake… the list goes on.
Aside from being a top-notch country artist, the man is arguably the most versatile singer in all of Nashville and can sing any genre thrown his way.
And now he’s back at it, teaming up with seminal singer/songwriter Joy Oladokun for a brand new duet, “Sweet Symphony.”
Oladokun commented on the song itself, along with the Stapleton collaboration:
“’Sweet Symphony’ is a song I wrote about the love I was able to experience as a child sharing my parents. It’s about the vulnerability, the fear, and the ups and downs that come with loving someone.
Showing yourself fully so that someone else can accept you and celebrate you, that’s what it’s all about.
I’m excited to have Chris Stapleton on this song, not only because he has one of the most iconic voices on earth, but also because he’s just an incredible songwriter, artist and instrumentalist.
I feel very lucky and honored that he wanted to be a part of this song.”
Sweet Symphony is produced by Oladokun, Mike Elizondo and Ian Fitchuk and written by Oladokun, Fitchuk and Shae Jacobs.
