The Broadway Show Almost famous has teamed up with the legendary rock photographer Neal Preston to shoot exclusive photos that will be featured in the upcoming production!
Cameron Crowe, who wrote the book and co-lyrics for the musical, also wrote and directed the film of the same name. The story is semi-autobiographical, based on his time as a teenage writer for Rolling Stone.
When crow was almost 15 years old, he met 20 years old preston at the San Diego Sports Arena and they became lifelong friends. 50 years later they team up for this new project!
We have some behind-the-scenes photos from Juliet Cervanteswho did the photo shoot no and Cameron with the actors. Cast members featured in photos include Chris Wood, Draftsman Gehling, Matthew Bittnerand Brandon Contreras.

Cameron said: “The Neal Preston Images we all know that made rock history exist because he’s a fan. Even the artists know that. You can see it by the way they look at his camera. Neal shares his photographic front row seat with everyone who loves music and shares his passion. It’s a rare and colorful thing to work with. Many of the stories told in Almost famous came straight from our operations.”
Almost famous begins with previews at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater on October 3 before an official premiere showing on November 3. Tickets are now on sale!
