As a father, Christian Lee feels the pain of parents mourning their children as a result of the recent mass shootings in the United States.
In recent months, the world has been saddened by reports of mass shootings in various states across the United States, resulting in several deaths, including innocent children.
said Lee Sportskeeda MMA that it is heartbreaking to learn of such tragedies, but it is important to be there for those who are going through it.
“I mean, it really breaks my heart to see that when all these innocent people, all these innocent kids, go to school, all they can expect is another normal day and they can never go home to see their families. To me it’s just so tragic and it’s something you can’t plan for, really expect or prepare for.”
“I think it’s really hard for anyone to prepare for or anticipate this, I hope the best for any families involved with this. And you know, the children still have to go to school, the parents still have to work. But as long as the communities and the families can come together and just be there for the people who are directly affected, I think that’s all you can do.”
Christian Lee’s empathy for parents is understandable, as he is only just learning to reconcile life with a small child. He expressed hope that these shootings will no longer be the norm in the future.
“It’s so unfortunate and I mean I couldn’t even imagine being in any of those other family situations. But it’s just one of those things, like, hopefully, one day we don’t have school shootings anymore, we don’t have mass shootings anymore. But no one else is to blame than whoever did it. It’s one of those things that makes me feel horrible, but unfortunately there’s not much you can do to prepare for it.”
Christian Lee wants ONE world lightweight title back
Christian Lee is just enjoying his life as a father and sees nothing but a rematch with Ok Rae Yoon for the ONE World Lightweight title.
The No. 1 lightweight believes his match could have gone either way with Ok and believes another fight with Ok is the way to go if he returns to the ONE circle. The pair fought in an epic five-round match in September 2021, in which Ok won by a very close unanimous decision victory.
However, “The Warrior” believes things will be different the next time they step back into the cage. The only thing that is certain is that it will be an explosive match when the time finally comes.
