#5. Gable Steveson’s potential WWE debut

22-year-old Gable Steveson signed with WWE shortly after winning the gold medal at last year’s Olympics. Due to his Olympic background, he drew comparisons to Kurt Angle when rumors of his debut circulated.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Steveson could potentially start a full-time career in May 2022 and is preparing to take the top spot.

Steveson appeared at WrestleMania Night Two earlier this year after the RAW Tag Team Championship match and even got into a physical altercation with Chad Gable, but he has yet to begin his full-time career with the promotion.

#4. Bray Wyatt’s rumored AEW debut

Due to budget cuts, WWE released many Superstars in 2021, which featured several shocking names, including that of Bray Wyatt.

The former Universal Champion was last seen squared losing to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37. For months it was rumored that he would debut with AEW.

During this time, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Wyatt could make his debut on the September 29 episode of AEW Dynamite.

I’m tired of watching I’m tired of hearing irrelevant clowns speculating about how I’m perceived. Tired of hearing about my greed, my desires being questioned. Wherever and whenever I decide to return, I will remind everyone why they know my name. Again. And again. Believe in me.#I found it

However, Wyatt did not appear on the show and has yet to return to the ring in a promotion. Recently there have been rumors of a possible return to WWE.

#3. Contract status of Sami Zayn

Reports of Kevin Owens’ contract expiration led to curiosity among fans about Sami Zayn’s contract status as people expected him to join AEW.

However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Zayn won’t be leaving WWE any time soon.

A year later, the report turned out to be true as Zayn was an integral part of the SmackDown brand and had some interesting interactions with The Bloodline.

#2. Several surprises for AEW All Out

AEW All Out featured a stacked card including CM Punk making his in-ring comeback after seven years against Darby Allin. It has been widely speculated that several former WWE Stars could potentially make their AEW debuts on the pay-per-view.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that many surprises are planned for the show.

“There will be surprises tonight and people internally are very excited about the show. They believe they will crush their existing PPV record (Revolution 2021) by a wide margin,” Dave Meltzer tweeted.
