Colter Wall plays new music from his upcoming album

Colt’s wall is a class act.

It’s no secret that the man is popular in country music, while remaining independent and living the true cowboy life up in Canada. He recently sold out back-to-back at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado… a space that holds about 4,000 fans a night.

Needless to say, if you haven’t seen him live, I highly recommend you do.

I’ve seen both Koe Wetzel and Whiskey Myers headline shows at this venue and they put on great, entertaining shows that are full productions. Shows that might even include fire once or twice…

In contrast, with limited lighting and production, Colter Wall and his band took up about half of the stage and the audience was just as captivated. Vincent Neil Emerson was the opener, making it one of the most minimalistic yet amazing shows I’ve ever had the privilege of watching.

During the show, Colter Wall confirmed that a new record is indeed on the way, and performed some unreleased tunes from it:

My personal favorite of the night was a cover of Hoyt Axton’s “Evangelina” which may actually be on the new album.

To be honest, I don’t think Colter Wall can sing a bad song with his deep, raspy voice.

And having had the chance to meet him and speak to him briefly, I’m an even bigger fan because he’s so kind and humble and also has an extraordinary talent.
