CNN reported Thursday that a police officer in Donald Trump’s Jan. 6 motorcade corroborated Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony before the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol.
Hutchinson testified of a discussion with Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff Tony Ornato and Robert Engel, who led Trump’s intelligence detail.
“I looked at Tony and he said, ‘Did you fucking hear what happened in the beast?’ I said, ‘No Tony, I just got back. What happened?’ Tony went on to tell me that when the President got on the beast, under the impression of Mr. [Mark] Meadows that the secret movement to the Capitol was still possible and likely to take place, but that Bobby had more information,” she testified.

“As soon as the President got into the vehicle with Bobby, he thought they were going to the Capitol, and when Bobby had informed him we’re not, we don’t have the resources, it’s not safe, ‘We’re going back to the West wing, the president’s response to that was very strong and very angry,” Hutchinson said.
“Breaking News, a source telling CNN, a Washington police officer who was in Trump’s motorcade on Jan. 6, has confirmed details of the heated exchange Trump had with his Secret Service detail when he was told he couldn’t to the US Capitol and he wanted to go,” reported CNN’s Erin Burnett.
“This development comes as a government watchdog revealed the deleted Secret Service messages from the day of the riot — after investigators asked about it,” Burnett added.
